Can I start a online business from my Michigan home if I am a Canadian? How do I do this? AND PLEASE DON’T POST ABOUT JOB SCAMS LINKS. I want to start my own online business, I am not looking for a online job.

i understand where you are coming from all you will find on the internet are surveys and pay per click programs/ you must find a good service or product that fills a need then use the internet to market this. I started mine for about 300 and it was the best move ever

Online is international. You do need to pay income tax on your earnings but you do not need any special permits. That is the easy part of your question. Starting your own business is the hard part. There are many different businesses you can start but there is no such thing as easy money online or offline. Beware of those people who tell you that there is. As I do not know what type of business you are interested in starting my advice has to be general. You will need a good site and plenty of traffic. Trust me, without traffic you are dead in the water. If you have specific questions feel free to e-mail me. Other than that there are free online business resources at the link below. Your nationality has no bearing on your ability to start an online business. You can build a business by researching consumer needs and wants. A good place to look is Amazon.com where you’ll find out what subjects and products people are interested in. Pick an area you can specialize in and become an expert in. Then you want to learn about your competition. Do some searches to get an idea of how many people are competing for the products and services you are interested in.
You can start from scratch by getting a hosting plan from sites like godaddy.com, yahoo.com and others. Then find your suppliers and begin building your site. You can get ready made products and services from sites like doba.com or other drop shippers. You can even get a free ready-made business and website from sites like buyerschoices.com.
No matter which path you take, the important thing is research. Learn before you leap.

Honestly, I would not search for "work from home" at all because most companies advertising that are not legit.
However, if you search for jobs by your area of interest, you may be able to find some that offer the option to
work from home.
