I have the person to make the site, some suppliers. I have never own a business before and tought starting an online Business might be a little less expensive than an actual store.
Any places offering some kind of training? how do I make my site known?
Please help! I need suggestions, links, ideas, etc if you have an online business tell me if you recommend it as my first business.
PS: Ebay is not an option for me.
Not easy as the price of scratch is increasing quite quickly.
Couldn’t you make it out of something else?

If you get a good hosting package i think they may help with getting good ranking
you will certainly save on some things by having a home business but there are other implications(space for one thing with clothing!)
look at businesslink website for really good balanced tips and advice.
i have had free training and advice locally to me and am running my business- still not sure i feel businesslike!
with starting any business you need to seriously research- it all comes down to money in the end so get calculating!

first, you need a host for your site. try searching and you can find some free hosting site.. but the best deal is to pay for it. so you own the address. try

for some info.
second, build your site as easy to navigate as possible. try some shopping software or anything.
third, to make your site known you, you can ask for help from your friends. if they have a site, then ask them if they can advertise your shop/products. but if you have some box then try google adwords, adbrite etc….

Web selling sites are dependent on search engine positioning. Try http://www.imarketing.co .uk . Links are usually reciprical with other sites and add to the connections. Still think Ebay may be of help, but its your call.
